Last month I decided to share instructions on how to apply EFT with my website visitors by posting them in full here. Then a couple of weeks ago I was so pleased to receive a wonderful email from “J”, whose only experience of EFT was applying it herself to her issue using my online instructions! I have included her full write up about her experience below so you can see how powerful EFT can be for you too, even without an session with an EFT practitioner!
J said:
"After a particularly stressful year, I jumped at the chance of going to Spain for a week to chill out. However I have a fear of flying, and I really had lost my nerve since the recent terrorist attacks.
"With two weeks to go, I decided to give the on-line EFT instructions on Sarah's site a go, and sat at the PC for a couple of evenings, familiarising myself with the instructions. Once I felt I had committed the sequence to memory (tapping a round is really quite simple once you remember the points) I tried it every night when I sat in my daughter's bedroom waiting for her to go to sleep. This was the ideal time for me because I could do it without disturbing her in the darkness, and the time when I'd feel the most anxious as my thoughts turned to the forthcoming holiday and flight. I would be in the room for about 15 minutes, and tap several rounds in that time.
"I didn't expect miracles, and to be honest, I didn't feel any different for several days. However, by the end of the week, I was aware of an unfamiliar feeling. I discovered that I was actually looking forward to the flight. Instead of that feeling of dread in my stomach, I felt a tingle of excitement. It was at that point that I decided I could do this without pills and prescription costs!
"For the next week I tapped whenever I remembered, my fear being more and more replaced by excitement and confidence. I also altered the "set-up" phrase to address my anxieties I have over going on holiday as the morning we leave is always a tearful and stressful time and it's quite usual for me to announce on the morning of the trip that I am not going. However on the morning of my holiday I was able to do the remains of my packing and eat some breakfast without shedding a single tear. My husband was amazed at how calm I was, and I did more EFT during the journey to the airport, and in the departure lounge (facing away from the other passengers!).
"The flight was an absolute breeze. I was quite disappointed that my daughter sat at the window seat and felt relatively calm throughout the flight. A couple of times I felt my nerves getting a bit wobbly, if I thought about being high up, but a bit of tapping took care of that. I can't say that I wasn't pleased when the plane landed, but felt confident that the rest of the holiday wouldn't be ruined stressing about the flight home.
"Thank you, Sarah, for putting the EFT instructions on your site. The thing I found most useful about EFT is there's nothing to take with you. Worrying and forgetfulness often go together, but with EFT there's nothing you need to remember to bring with you in order for EFT to work. I can't believe how easy it is."
